Saucy BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

These sandwiches start with meat from a rotisserie-cooked chicken available in the deli at most large supermarkets. A sassy homemade sauce makes them extra special.


  • 1 recipe Blue Ribbon Barbecue Sauce - Traditional
  • 1 tablespoon Barbecue Seasoning Mix (optional)
  • 1   rotisserie-cooked chicken (2 pounds), skin and bones removed
  • 4   Kaiser rolls, split


  1. Prepare barbecue sauce in (3-qt.) Saucepan as recipe directs, adding seasoning mix, if desired.

  2. Meanwhile, remove skin from chicken; discard skin. Remove meat from bones; discard bones. Pull and shred chicken using Hold 'N Slice®; cut into bite-size pieces. Add chicken to barbecue sauce; heat over medium heat 2-3 minutes or until heated through.

  3. Split rolls using Bread Knife. Spoon chicken mixture over bottom halves of rolls using Nylon Spoon; cover with top halves.

Cook's Tips:

For added convenience, we've called for a rotisserie-cooked chicken, available at most large supermarkets. One cooked chicken weighs about 2 pounds and will yield about 3 cups of chopped meat.
