Supply Chain Disclosure
California Transparency in Supply Chain Act Disclosure
Revised May 11, 2015
Pampered Chef expects and requires manufacturers, vendors and suppliers (collectively “Supplier(s)”) of the goods we sell, whether through our Consultants or online, to maintain fundamental labor and human rights standards. Specifically, we include policies in our Supplier Quality Manual and contracts that require that our Suppliers refrain from using any child or forced labor, whether in the form of prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor or otherwise. Suppliers failing to meet our Supplier Quality Manual or the terms of our contracts would be in breach of our agreement.
Pampered Chef does not currently engage in or have a dedicated program designed to specifically verify that the product supply chains in which it operates do not engage in human trafficking and/or slavery. Pampered Chef, however, does engage in visits and third party audits with its Supplier locations and maintains a close working relationship with these Suppliers. Further, Pampered Chef requires these Suppliers to comply with The Pampered Chef’s Supplier Quality Manual and the requirements and obligations imposed by law, which include the requirement to comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which the Supplier does business and asks its Suppliers to provide certification of compliance with these policies by a third-party independent auditor.
All employees receive training on Pampered Chef’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. If any employee learns that Pampered Chef’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics or any law is or may be violated, including, without limitation a Supplier engaging in human trafficking and/or slavery, the employee is required to report that violation to Pampered Chef’s management team. Any employee who does not report a violation will be subject to discipline, which may include termination of employment.
Pampered Chef will quickly investigate any reports of human trafficking and slavery in the supply chain, and will take swift action against any Supplier that is found to have acted improperly. Any employee that is found to have knowingly contracted with such a Supplier or who has failed to report any infraction, will be subject to discipline, which may include termination. Pampered Chef is committed to making a strong positive contribution to the societies and people served by the company, its employees and its consultants.
