Truffle Burgers
Juicy and delicious, the flavor of black truffle and herbs amp up these beef and pork burgers
Ingredients
- Burgers
- ½ lb (250 g) bulk breakfast sausage
- ¾ lb (350 g) ground beef
- 1 tsp (5 mL) Black Truffle & Herb Seasoning
- Oil for greasing
- Sauce
- ½ cup (125 mL) mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp (10 mL) ketchup
- 1 tsp (5 mL) Black Truffle & Herb Seasoning
- Buns & Toppings
- 4 slices Swiss, Havarti or white cheddar cheese
- 4 seeded burger buns
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Romaine lettuce leaves
Directions
- Combine the burger ingredients in the bowl of the Deluxe Stand Mixer fitted with the scraping beater and MIX for 45 seconds.
- Add ½ cup (125 mL) of the meat to a greased Burger & Slider Press. Repeat until you have 4 patties.
- Whisk together the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- Brush the 12" (30-cm) Cast Iron Grill Pan Skillet with oil and preheat over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes. Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, add the cheese slices to each patty. Remove the patties from the pan.
- Place the buns, cut-side down, on the warming rack of the 4-Slice Toaster With Warming Rack. Set the doneness to 3 and press the toaster lever down. Repeat with the remaining buns.
- To serve, spread 1-2 tbsp (15-30 mL) of the sauce on the bottom bun. Top with the burger, tomato and lettuce.

Cook's Tips:
You can add 1 tbsp (15 mL) Truffle Finishing Oil to the sauce, if you’d like.
