Spiced Apple Topping


  • 3 medium Jonathan or Braeburn apples (about 1 1/4 pounds)
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon Cinnamon Plus® Spice Blend
  • 1/3 cup apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine


  1. Core and slice apples with Apple/ Peeler/Corer/Slicer (do not peel); cut apples in half. Combine brown sugar and Spice Blend; set aside. Whisk apple juice with cornstarch; set aside.

  2. Melt butter in Stir-Fry Skillet over medium heat. Add apples; stir-fry 2 minutes. Stir in brown sugar mixture and continiue stir-frying 2 minutes. Stir in juice mixture; bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened. Serve warm over ice cream, crepes, pancakes or waffles.
