Slow Cooker Pot Roast

This one-pot meal comes together quickly thanks to our Herb & Onion Slow Cooker Seasoning and the Rockcrok® Slow Cooker Stand.


  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) oil
  • 2 lbs. (1 kg) beef chuck roast
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2   carrots, diced
  • 4 medium red potatoes, quartered
  • 5 tbsp (75 mL) Herb & Onion Slow Cooker Seasoning
  • 1½ cups (375 mL) water


  1. Heat the oil in the Rockcrok® Dutch Oven over medium heat for 3–5 minutes. Add the beef to the Dutch oven and cook on all sides until it’s golden brown, about 8 minutes. Transfer the Dutch oven to the Rockcrok® Digital Slow Cooker Stand.

  2. Add the vegetables to the pan with the beef.

  3. Combine the Herb & Onion Slow Cooker Seasoning and water then pour it over the beef and vegetables.

  4. Turn the Slow Cooker Stand to HIGH and cook for 4 hours, or to LOW and cook for 8 hours.

Cook's Tips:

This recipe can be cut in half and made in the Rockcrok® Everyday Pan.

Deluxe Multi Cooker Instructions

This recipe can be prepared in the Deluxe Multi Cooker as the recipe directs using the Slow Cook setting and the Pressure Cooker Glass Lid. Let it cook on low for 8 hours.
