Creamy Garlic Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4   garlic cloves, pressed
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) butter
  • 4 oz (125 g) cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup (250 mL) milk
  • 2 oz (60 g) Parmesan cheese, finely grated (1 cup/250 mL)
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in the 3-qt. (2.8-L) Stainless Steel Sauce Pan over medium heat; add the garlic paste and cook for 60-90 seconds or until fragrant. Add the cream cheese and whisk until smooth. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Stir in the cheese and pepper until completely incorporated. Cook the sauce for 5-7 minutes or until it reaches the desired thickness, stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta.

Yield:

  • about 1 1/2 cups (375 mL)
      servings of about 1/4 cup/50 mL sauce
