Simple syrup is probably the easiest recipe you’ll ever make—plus, you can make as little or as much as you want.
- 1 cup (250 mL) water
- 1 cup (250 mL) sugar
Combine the water and sugar in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH for 4–5 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking.
Let the syrup cool completely before using. Store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
