SAFETY AND USE INSTRUCTIONS
- Read, understand, follow, and save all Safety and Use Instructions to avoid injury.
WARNING
- • Adult supervision is required when using with children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.
- • To prevent burns, do not use your fingers to remove food from the pans.
- • Always use caution when handling the hot pans. Use heat-resistant oven mitts or pads when handling the hot pans or placing on flat, level surfaces.
SAFEGUARDS
- • Use both hands when handling the pans.
- • Do not use metal utensils in the pans.
- • Don’t use abrasive cleansers such as steel wool, cleansers with bleach, or oven-cleaning solutions; they can damage the pan and void the guarantee.
- • Foods such as turmeric, mustard, and those that are acidic, such as tomato sauce, may cause discoloration to the pan surface. As needed, line the bottom and sides of the pan with parchment paper cut to fit the pan so the paper does not extend over the top of pan. Refer to package directions for more details.
CLEANING
- • Wash before using the first time; hand wash only.
- • Let the pans cool to room temperature before cleaning.
- • Do not soak. Make sure to dry completely after washing to prevent rust.
- • Pans will naturally darken with use; this won’t affect their performance.
- • Only use a soft sponge, cloth, or kitchen brush for cleaning the pans.
USE AND CARE
- • The pans are safe in conventional and convection ovens. We don’t recommend using the pans in ovens over 450°F (230°C). Don’t use these pans on glass or ceramic cooktops, electric coil, gas burner range, induction (magnetic) range, or an outdoor grill. Not microwave- or broiler-safe.
- • Aerosol nonstick spray is not recommended; it will create a sticky residue which is difficult to clean.
- • Always follow the recipe temperature, baking times, and greasing or flouring instructions.
- • It’s normal to see some scratching after use. To minimize, don’t slide the pans across surfaces.
- • Refrigerator- and freezer-safe.
- TO USE WITH CAKE MIXES:
- 1. Preheat oven and grease pans per package instructions.
- 2. Pour batter into the pans, filling them ½– 2 ⁄3 full. To level out the batter, lightly tap the pans against the counter. Bake the recipe as directed. Note: Standard cake mixes vary in range and size, so your batter output may be different.
- 3. Remove pans from the oven and let them cool for 5–10 minutes. Always use a heat-resistant oven mitt or pad when handling hot pans.
- 4. To release, cover cooling rack with parchment paper; place covered rack on top of pans and invert. Cool completely on cooling rack.
- 5. To ensure cake layers lay flat when stacking, “crown” cakes by using a serrated knife to trim any visible mound from top of cake.
