Quick Mashed Potatoes


  • 1 1/2 lbs potatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and coarsely ground black pepper
  • Optional mix-ins such as butter, pressed garlic cloves, cream cheese, sour cream or cheddar cheese


  1. Place potatoes and enough water to cover into Rice Cooker Plus. Cover; microwave on HIGH 10-12 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

  2. Carefully remove inner lid and drain water. Add milk to potatoes; mash potatoes. Add salt, black pepper and mix-ins, if desired; mix thoroughly.
