Sautéed Green Beans with Bacon
- 8 oz (250 g) fresh green beans
- 3 slices uncooked bacon
- 1 shallot
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) water
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground black pepper
Trim ends and slice green beans using Bean Slicer. Thinly slice bacon crosswise into thin strips. Cook bacon in (10-in./24-cm) Skillet over medium-high heat 7-9 minutes or until crisp.
Finely chop shallot. Add shallot to Skillet and cook 20-30 seconds or until fragrant. Add green beans, water, salt and pepper. Cover; cook 6-8 minutes or until green beans are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
