Very Cherry Ice

Nothing says summer like a refreshing, frozen treat. Shave the ice and serve in dessert cups or mix with soda for a frosty slush.

  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 can (12 ounces) frozen apple-cherry or cherry drink concentrate

  1. In (2-qt.) Saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

  2. Juice lemon with Juicer to measure 3 tablespoons juice. Stir lemon juice and concentrate into sugar syrup. Divide mixture evenly among 3 Ice Shaver Tubs; freeze until firm.

  3. Remove frozen mixture from tubs; shave using Ice Shaver into chilled Chillzanne® Mini-Bowl. Scoop into small cups.

Cook's Tips:

To easily remove the frozen ice mixtures from the plastic tubs, line tubs with plastic wrap before filling.

Place the Chillzanne® Mini-Bowl in the freezer at the same time that you freeze the cherry mixture. It will keep the shaved ice frosty for serving and can be used to store any leftovers.
