An easy, homemade guacamole recipe with just the right amount of cilantro in it is worth its weight in, well, avocados. Delicious!
- ½ small red onion, peeled
- 1 jalapeño, seeded
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- ¼ cup (50mL) fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 lime
- 2 ripe avocados, pitted
- ½ tsp (2mL) salt
- Tortilla chips (optional)
Cut the onion into small chunks with the Coated Utility Knife.
Cut the jalapeño into chunks and place into the Manual Food Processor. Add the onion, garlic, and cilantro into the processor; process until finely chopped.
Juice the lime with the Citrus Press to measure 1½ tbsp (22 mL) and add to the processor.
Cut the avocado in half lengthwise and transfer to the processor. Add the salt and process to the desired consistency.
Transfer to the 1-qt. Cool & Serve Bowl. Serve with tortilla chips.
