Bread Bowl Spinach Dip

Baked and served in a bread bowl, this rich, flavor-packed dip is perfect for your next party.

Ingredients

  • 2 16 oz (450 g) sourdough bread rounds (about 6-in./15-cm diameter), divided
  •  Vegetable oil
  • 4 oz (125 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 pkg Spinach Dip Mix
  • ½ cup (125 mL) frozen spinach, thawed, drained and squeezed dry
  • 1 jar (7.5 oz/212 g) artichokes, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup (250 mL) mozzarella cheese, grated, divided

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Slice off the top of one bread round to create a lid; set lid aside. Carefully remove the center of the bread round to form a 4 ½"wide (12-cm) and 2” deep (5-cm) well for dip. Slice the center of the first and entire second bread round into 1” (2.5-cm) cubes. Place bread bowl on the center of the Fully Glazed Large Round Stone. Arrange the bread cubes around the bread bowl.
  2. In a mixing bowl whisk cream cheese until smooth. Add mayonnaise and sour cream to the cream cheese; whisk until smooth. Add dip mix, spinach, artichokes and half of the cheese to the bowl and mix well. Microwave on HIGH 3-5 minutes or until hot (do not boil). Add to the bread bowl. Top with remaining cheese. Lean lid against bread bowl. Bake 13-15 minutes or until the bread cubes and top of dip are golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
