- • Always use food-safe practices when storing and serving food. This product is not intended to keep food at a food-safe temperature.
- • Use caution when removing the lid when you using the pitcher for hot liquids as steam may escape from the sides of the lid. Be sure to open the lid toward you, so steam escapes away from your body.
- • DO NOT fill to the rim. Keep a minimum of ¾" (2 cm) of space between the contents and the rim so the lid fits properly.
SAFEGUARDS
- • Not microwave, oven, stovetop, or freezer-safe.
- • Do not cook in pitcher.
- • Use heat-resistant oven mitts or pads when handling hot items.
- • Use caution when removing or placing the lid on as hot contents may spill.
- • Metal utensils may cause some scratch.
CLEANING
- • Wash before using for the first time; hand wash only.
- • Remove the lid before washing.
- • Do not use abrasive cleaners like steel wool or scouring pads.
- • Dry thoroughly to prevent corrosion.
- • To remove stubborn food odors from the lid gasket, prepare a baking soda paste by mixing ½ cup (125 mL) of baking soda with 3 tbsp (45 mL) of water. Apply the paste to the silicone gasket and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse and towel dry immediately.
USE AND CARE
- • To open, twist the lid counterclockwise. To close, place the lid on with button offset from pitcher handle and then twist clockwise to a stop.
- • For serving, press button and continue to hold it down while pouring. When done, place pitcher back onto the counter and release the button.
- • To improve heat retention, prior to filling with a hot beverage, fill with hot water and let it sit for 5 minutes. Remove the liquid and dry the pitcher. Fill and cover with the lid.
- • To maintain heat retention, keep the lid on
