Classic Brownies
Classic brownies with crispy edges and a fudgy center are always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- Oil for greasing
- ½ cup (125 mL) butter, melted
- 1 cup (250 mL) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
- ¾ cup (175 mL) flour
- ¼ cup (60 mL) cocoa powder
- ½ tsp (2 mL) salt
- 1 cup (250 mL) chocolate chips or chopped nuts, divided, optional
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350° F (180°C) and lightly grease an 8" (20cm) Square Pan With Lid with oil.
- Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla to the bowl of the Deluxe Stand Mixer. Set to MIX for 45 seconds.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and half of the mix-ins, if using. Set to MIX for 45 seconds.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spready evenly. Top with the remaining half of mix-ins, if using. Bake for 27-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted 1 in. (2.5 cm) from the edge comes out clean.
- Cool on a cooling rack for at least 1 hour before slicing.
