Easy Cake Glazes

Ingredients

CLASSIC GLAZE

1½ cups (375 mL) powdered sugar

3 tbsp (45 mL) milk
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla


CREAM CHEESE GLAZE*

6 oz (175 g) cream cheese

1 cup (250 mL) powdered sugar
3 tbsp (45 mL) milk
½ tsp (2 mL) vanilla


CHAMPAGNE GLAZE

2 tbsp (30 mL) champagne

1½ cups (375 mL) powdered sugar
1 tbsp (15 mL) milk


PEANUT BUTTER GLAZE*

3 tbsp (45 mL) creamy peanut butter

1 cup (250 mL) powdered sugar
3 tbsp (45 mL) milk


LEMON GLAZE

2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice

1½ cups (375 mL) powdered sugar
1 tbsp (15 mL) milk
1 tsp (5 mL) lemon zest


CHOCOLATE GLAZE

¼ cup (50 mL) cocoa powder

1½ cups (375 mL) powdered sugar
¼ cup (50 mL) milk
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth. *For the cream cheese and peanut butter glazes, place the first ingredient in a bowl, and whisk until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk until smooth.

  2. Use the Chocolate Drizzler to decorate your cake, or pour from the bowl.
