Magic Blondies
You’ll get asked to bring these blondies to every party! They’re packed with chocolate, peanut butter, and nuts, and topped with coconut.
Ingredients
- Oil for greasing
- ½ cup (125 mL) butter (1 stick), melted
- 1 cup (250 mL) brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 ` egg yolk
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
- ¼ tsp (1 mL) baking soda
- 1 cup (250 mL) flour
- ½ tsp (2 mL) salt
- ½ cup (125 mL) chopped nuts
- ½ cup (125 mL) semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup (125 mL) peanut butter chips
- ½ cup (125 mL) graham cracker crumbs
- 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk (about 1¾ cups/425 mL)
- ½ cup (125 mL) sweetened flaked coconut
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease the 8" (20-cm) Brilliance Nonstick Square Pan with oil.
- Combine the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add the flour, salt, and baking soda; mix to combine. Fold in the nuts, chocolate, and peanut butter chips. Dollop the batter into the pan. (Do not smooth the batter out.)
- Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over the batter and pour the sweetened condensed milk on top. Top with the coconut.
- Bake for 44–46 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
- Remove the pan to a cooling rack and cool completely before slicing.
