Charitable Givings: Round-Up from the Heart®
The company's Round-Up from the Heart® campaign is a team effort among our Cooking Show guests, our sales field of more than 60,000 Pampered Chef® Consultants, customers and our Home Office coworkers. The Pampered Chef® has contributed more than $14.4 million to the battle against hunger since 1991.
Cooking Show guests are encouraged to "round-up" their orders to the nearest dollar or more. Funds raised by the year-long campaign are donated to the 200 Feeding America, formerly America’s Second Harvest, affiliated food banks across the United States, based on the zip code of the Cooking Show host. In turn, each food bank distributes food and groceries to hunger-relief agencies throughout the counties they serve, which reach every community in the United States.
In addition, a special product is introduced each year as an additional way to raise funds to support this cause. Customers can purchase the Round-Up from the Heart® 2009 Trivet — a decorative trivet that can protect counters and tabletops from hot food, be used as a decorative wall accent, or given as a thoughtful gift. For every trivet sold, The Pampered Chef® will contribute $2 to Feeding America.
