When you become a Consultant, we need to know your name, email address, phone and mailing address and possibly Social Security or tax identification number, credit card number and expiration.
When you create an account, we need to know your name and email and we may request other information about you.
We may share your PII with outside contractors or agents who work on our behalf to help us manage our informational activities, but they may only use your PII to provide us with a specific service and not for any other purpose.
Any communications that you submit or post to an interactive feature such as a blog or message board may be viewable by other users of the Website. While we may remove PII about you, we assume no obligation to do so. We are not responsible for, nor can we guarantee protection of, any PII you submit or post to the interactive features of the TPC Website. Therefore, you acknowledge and understand you have no expectation of privacy in the content you submit to the Website’s interactive features, whether or not it contains your PII.
We may combine the PII we collect from you with information we collect from other sources, both offline and online.
The Website automatically also collects certain information that is not personally identifiable. For example, the Website automatically recognizes your domain name, IP address and region or geographical area, browser version, operating system and the website you passed through to reach our Website. In addition, our Website automatically gathers certain usage information like the numbers and frequency of visitors to our Website and its various web pages or content, very much like television ratings that tell how many people tuned in to a program. We also may collect certain information through cookies and similar tools as further described in the section below titled “Cookies.”
Whether you place an order or create a profile, we use industry-standard secure server software (SSL) and encrypt the information you input before it is sent to us. In addition, we use commercially reasonable measures to protect the customer data against unauthorized access. We are not responsible for the actions of third parties.
“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your Web browser on your computer when you visit. Our cookies enable us to personalize your visits to your interests and preferences. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can usually change the Web browser to disable cookies. Each Web browser is different, so you will need to check your specific browser’s “Help” menu to learn how to change the cookie preferences. Please note that if you disable all cookies, the functionality of the Website may be impaired.
Links to third party websites may be provided on this Website. We have not reviewed all linked third party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for any of these websites and their content. We do not endorse or make any representations about such sites or any information or materials found there or any results that may be obtained from using them. Since we do not control these websites, we assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of such websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies posted on those, and all, third party websites.
We comply with the requirements of all applicable laws concerning equal employment opportunity. In the recruitment of employment there will be no unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (unless sex is a bona fide occupational requirement), age, national origin, disability, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
The Pampered Chef is based in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States whose laws may not provide the same level of protection for PII as your home country. By using this Website, you consent to this transfer. You also consent to the adjudication of any disputes arising in connection with this Website in the federal and other courts of, and in accordance with the laws of, the state of Illinois.
