- • Disassemble before cleaning.
- • Wash and dry immediately to avoid staining.
- • Do not use abrasive cleaners like steel wool or scouring pads.
TO DISASSEMBLE
- • Turn the lid counterclockwise and remove.
- • To remove the Scraper Bar, grab the Scraper Bar with one hand and the Lid with the other, and pull apart to remove.
- • Remove the Blade Post, grab Blade Cover and remove. See illustration 1.
- • To remove Blade Cover, hold Blade Post by the center in one hand and pull the Blade Cover off with your other hand. See illustration 1. Note: NEVER touch the blade. Blades are sharp. See illustration 2.
- • Next grab Vessel with one hand and the Nonslip Base with the other. Using the hand holding the Nonslip Base, place your fingers in the grooves and pull the two pieces apart. See illustration 3.
- • Grab the Gear Housing (Note: Do not grab by the gears) and pull apart from Vessel. See illustration 4.
TO ASSEMBLE
- • Align notches on Gear Housing with slots on the Vessel and push until pieces click into place. See illustration 5.
- • Press Nonslip Base onto Gear Housing.
- • Place Blade Post onto the center pole of the Vessel.
- • Press Scraper Bar onto bottom side of Lid.
- • Align notches on Lid with slots on Vessel and turn clockwise to secure. See illustration 6.
USE AND CARE
- 1. Remove lid by twisting counterclockwise to a stop and lifting away from Vessel. Carefully remove Blade Cover and place Blade Post onto the center pole of the Vessel. Blades are sharp. Keep fingers and thumbs away from blades. See illustration 7.
- 2. Place ingredients in the Vessel. Do not overfill.
• Larger foods, such as shallots or large pieces of garlic should be cut down to ½" (1-cm) pieces.
- 3. Align notches on lid with slots on Vessel and twist clockwise to a stop.
- 4. Hold product with lid side in one hand and the Nonslip Base in the other. Twist in opposing directions a few times to start to chop. See illustration 8.
- 5. Once initial chopping is done, ensure the exterior of the product and counter are dry. Tilt the unit with the Nonslip Base on the counter and roll back and forth to chop. See illustration 9.
- • If blades are not rotating, remove lid and check blade; Blade Post must be centered for proper attachment to the underside of the lid.
- • Overfilling may cause more resistance and inconsistency with cut size. Mince food in batches if too much resistance is felt.
- • If a piece of food becomes wedged in the blade, remove lid, secure top of post with finger and use a utensil to dislodge food. If necessary, completely remove Blade Post. Do not use fingers to dislodge food.
- 6. Once desired consistency is reached, remove lid and carefully remove Blade Post by holding onto the top of the post. Remove food from Vessel with a scraper.
