- Always use caution when handling the hot sheet pan and rack. Use heat-resistant oven mitts when handling the hot sheet pan and rack.
SAFEGUARDS
- Don’t stack racks in the oven.
- Always put the rack on a sheet pan before placing it in the oven.
- When using the rack for oven roasting, place it on a sheet pan with sides to catch any food drippings. Don’t use it as a roasting pan. Use caution when cooking dishes with excess grease.
- When using the rack to roast meats or poultry, set the rack low enough so there is at least a 6" (15-cm) space between the food and the top of the oven.
- Don’t use the rack for broiling foods or on outdoor grills.
- Be careful when placing the rack on countertops or stovetops. The product can scratch surfaces.
- When cooking high fat foods, the legs can be folded to reduce splatter and help prevent a thermal event.
CLEANING
- Wash before using for the first time. Hand wash only; rinse and towel dry immediately.
- Don’t soak the rack. Dry the rack after washing to prevent rust.
- Let the rack cool to room temperature before cleaning.

- To use as a single rack:
- From folded position, pull the retractable legs on both ends of the rack until extended outward.
- Stand upright and place on a sheet pan with sides.
- Do not use aerosol nonstick sprays. They may create a sticky, difficult-to-clean residue if the rack isn’t washed immediately or if it gets overheated.
- The rack is safe to use in conventional ovens and convection ovens. Do not place it under broilers. Always follow recipe temperatures and baking times.

- To stack:
- From folded position, pull the retractable legs on both ends of the rack until extended outward.
- Stand upright and place the legs on a flat surface.
- Place the second rack over the base rack, positioning each of the four feet into each of the four corner grids of the base rack.
