Cheesy Pita Bread Wedges
These easy pita wedges would make a delicious bread accompaniment or hot appetizer.
- 6 pita pocket bread rounds, cut in half
- 12 tablespoons garlic and herb cream cheese spread
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
Prepare grill for direct cooking over medium coals. Cut pita bread rounds in half. Using Small Spreader, spread 1 tablespoon cream cheese in each pita half.
Combine oil, salt and black pepper. Brush both sides of each bread half with oil mixture using Chef's Silicone Basting Brush.
Place bread halves on grid of grill. Grill, uncovered, 1 1/2-2 minutes on each side or until lightly browned, turning with BBQ Tongs. Cut bread halves into wedges.
