Strawberry Nutella® Bubble Waffle

Strawberries and waffles topped with whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate? Yes, please! 

Ingredients

    Bubble Waffle
  • ¼ cup (50 mL) milk
  • ¼ cup (50 mL) water
  • 1   egg
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (125 mL) sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) melted unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup (175 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) baking powder
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) cornstarch
  • ⅛ tsp (0.5 mL) salt
  •  Oil for spritzing
    Toppings
  • 4 oz. (125 mL) reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchâtel), softened
  • ¼ cup (50 mL) Nutella®
  • 1 cup (250 mL) heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) powdered sugar
  • 6   fresh strawberries, stems removed (about 5 oz./150 g)
  • ½ cup (125 mL) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vegetable oil
  •  Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions

  1. Add the bubble waffle ingredients in the order they’re listed to the Batter Mixer & Dispenser and pump the handle to combine. Place the dispenser cap on the plunger and select the medium dot.

  2. Spray each side of the Waffle Puff Pan with oil with the Kitchen Spritzer and preheat the pan over medium heat for 3 minutes.

  3. Dispense 3 pumps of batter into one side of the pan (about ¾ cup/175 mL), making sure the batter fills the bubbles. Close the pan and flip it over. Cook for 2–4 minutes, then flip the pan again and cook for an additional 2–4 minutes, or until the waffle is golden brown. Use the nylon fork to remove the bubble waffle. Repeat with the remaining batter.

  4. For the topping, place the cream cheese and Nutella® into a medium bowl and stir until combined.

  5. Add the cream, sugar, and vanilla to the Whipped Cream Maker. Pump the handle until the whipped cream reaches the desired consistency.

  6. Fold the whipped cream into the bowl with the cream cheese mixture until thoroughly combined.

  7. Slice the strawberries with the Egg Slicer Plus®. Combine the chocolate morsels and oil in a 1-cup (250-mL) Prep Bowl and microwave, uncovered, on HIGH for 1–1½ minutes. Stir the mixture and pour it into the Chocolate Drizzler.

  8. To assemble the waffles, spread the topping evenly onto each waffle. Top with strawberries, drizzle with chocolate, and dust with powdered sugar. Slice into eight pieces with the Pizza & Crust Cutter.
