Doris Christopher held her first cooking party on Oct. 15, 1980. Since that day, we’ve been steadfast in our mission to provide cooking tools that give people more confidence in the kitchen, recipes that help families enjoy mealtimes together, and a business opportunity that makes the everyday better for our consultants.

Our Founder & Chairman
Doris Christopher is the founder and chairman of Pampered Chef, a Berkshire Hathaway company.
Doris Christopher founded Pampered Chef from the basement of her suburban Chicago home in 1980 with the belief that shared mealtimes have the power to enrich our lives in so many ways. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a $3,000 loan from an insurance policy, Doris had a simple plan to make mealtimes more enjoyable and less of a chore. From the very beginning, Pampered Chef has made that possible through professional-quality kitchen tools, cooking parties that inspire kitchen confidence, and a flexible business opportunity.
So much has changed over the years as mealtimes have migrated from the table to the kitchen island or wherever the day takes us. Yet, Doris’s core values and belief in the power of mealtime are more relevant than ever.
Doris has been recognized with numerous awards as one of America’s great entrepreneurial success stories. She is the author of two books: The Pampered Chef: The Story of One of America’s Most Beloved Companies and Come to the Table: A Celebration of Family Life.
Our CEO
Andrew Treanor is the chief executive officer of Pampered Chef, a Berkshire Hathaway company.
Before being named CEO in April 2020, Andrew was Pampered Chef’s chief operating officer and was responsible for the company’s global technology and operations, including solutions, supply chain, distribution, and facilities. In this role, Andrew led the company’s expansion of technology solutions for the company’s independent consultants and customers. He played a key role in the company’s transformation into a strong and diverse business with more than 50% of Pampered Chef’s business now coming from digital sales.
Prior to joining Pampered Chef, Andrew was division vice president of research and development for CDK Global where he was responsible for engineering for more than 15 of the company’s product lines. Before his work at CDK Global, Andrew was the vice president of research and development at CVR. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Micro-Electronic Engineering from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia.
